Waterfront cafés in Mykonos, as well as many discothèques, bars and nightclubs; Crete - tavernas here are lively with bouzouki music and discothèques and bars abound throughout the island; the choice of seafood is excellent. The picturesque main town of Fira in Santorini with its blue and white architecture is beautiful; Rhodes, with a fine selection of international cuisine as well as excellent Greek food; Son et Lumière in the Palace of the Grand Masters in the Old Town.

Most island resorts offer a good variety of water sports as well as spas and fitness centres.
