What was your most pleasant experience you had when dealing with a customer and also a difficult situation that you had to face?
It is when the client supports and understands the suggestions I give. One incident which took place is when working with WIWO pax which faced bad experience with their safari which was arranged by another company and they wanted to enjoy the remaining days. They had few hours to make all arrangements of 4 different locations. Because they trusted with what I was doing and I constantly gave them feedback and information of what is available. It made my work much easier and fast and managed to give them all the options they needed. The end result was that I achieved my goal, and the clients were also happy. The Most difficult time is when I booked a customer to a Safari in Northern Circuit and due to flight delays he was very disappointed and expected me to tell him what was wrong with the flight, it was Sunday and he was at the airport (the place which he can get all flight information). At the end he didn't want to go because he was not sure if the flight will be safe and I urged him to wait for the last time as the hotels and car that were reserved would charge him full cancellation fees but he refused, he didn't want to listen and language barriers also caused some difficulties in communicating with them. I felt helpless, I tried my level best to convince the pax but to no avail.
Tips for first-time and infrequent traveler
Preparation can help cut down on travel delays inexperienced and experienced travelers alike can help ease airport security delays by following these simple guidelines:
- Before you leave home
- Reconfirm your flight
- Pack Smart.
- Protect yourself and your valuables by placing medicine and expensive items in your carry-on luggage. Keep a pencil or pen handy throughout your trip to note gate, departure time and connecting flight information.
- Identify your baggage inside and out.
- Place a baggage tag with name, home address and telephone number on the outside of your bag; inside your baggage, put your home information plus your destination address and telephone number.
- Bring fewer carry-ons to speed boarding.
Up to two items may be carried on, and each must fit under your seat or in an overhead compartment. Check your ticket envelope or call your travel agent or the airline's reservation office for size and weight requirements.
- Read your ticket and ticket envelope in advance. They provide helpful information about policies set by the government and the airline.
